Book Title Maker is a small free tool for self-published authors who are stuck on a name. You pick a genre, optionally describe your book, and get eight title ideas you can copy, keep or throw away.
How it works
Every suggestion is built in your browser from a curated word list and a set of title patterns for that genre. There is no AI service, no account and no server call: once the page has loaded, the generator keeps working even if you go offline.
If you type a description, it is scanned locally for words the generator recognises — “crown”, “lighthouse”, “rival” — and those words select the matching word groups. Words it does not recognise are never inserted into a title, and nothing you type leaves your device.
What this tool does not do
- It does not check trademarks, series names or existing books. Search Amazon, Goodreads and your national trademark register before you commit to a title.
- It does not promise a unique title. Titles repeat across publishing, and two books can legally share one.
- It does not write your blurb, your cover or your book. It hands you a shortlist, and the last edit is yours.

Book Title Maker is an independent project, not affiliated with Amazon, Kindle Direct Publishing or any retailer. If something reads badly or a word list is missing an obvious idea, tell us at hello@booktitlemaker.com — that feedback is what improves the word lists.
