This page describes how booktitlemaker.com handles information. It is written to match what the site actually does today; if that changes, this page changes with it.
What stays on your device
- Your book description. It is processed in your browser to pick word groups and is never sent to a server.
- Your saved titles. They are stored in your browser’s local storage under
booktitlemaker.saved.v1. Clearing your browser data removes them, and they are not readable by us.
What we do not collect
There are no accounts, no sign-up, no payment and no contact form on this site, so we do not hold a name, email address or password for you. We do not sell data, and we do not run advertising networks on these pages.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to see which generators people actually use. It is loaded only on booktitlemaker.com — local and preview copies of the site load no analytics at all.
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser, typically named _ga and _ga_<id>, to tell repeat visits apart. We enable IP anonymisation, and we set Google’s consent signals for advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalisation to denied, so this data is not used to build advertising profiles.
The events we send are limited to how the tool is used:
title_generate_local— the genre, how many ideas were produced, whether a description was present, and how long generation took.title_copyandtitle_favorite— the genre and the internal pattern identifier of the title acted on.genre_select— the genre you switched to.
The text of your book description is never sent, and neither is the text of any title you copy or save. Only the genre and an internal pattern name leave your browser. You can block this entirely with any tracker blocker, with your browser’s do-not-track or cookie settings, or with Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. Blocking analytics does not affect the generator, which keeps working offline.
Hosting and logs
The site is delivered as static files by a hosting provider. Like any web host, that provider processes standard request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL in order to serve and protect the site. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.
